Melbourne City returns to AAMI Park this Saturday for our first doubleheader of 2025, featuring two massive clashes against Brisbane Roar.
The action kicks off at 5pm, with Aurelio Vidmar’s men aiming to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games and continue their winning start to the new year.
Despite a host of injuries, particularly in the attacking third, City has managed to secure maximum points so far in 2025 with back-to-back 2-0 wins over Wellington and Western United.
Following the men’s fixture, our City Women will take centre stage at 7:45pm in a top-of-the-table showdown.
Undefeated this season but eager to return to winning ways after back-to-back draws, our Women’s squad faces a strong Brisbane side that sits just one point behind us on the table.
With top spot on the line, this promises to be a thrilling contest.
Both extended squads have now been confirmed as preparations ramp up for Saturday’s games.
Vidmar’s squad remains unchanged following Tuesday night’s win, with the additions of Emin Durakovic and Harry Shillington.
Meanwhile, Bryleeh Henry will miss the top-of-the-table Women’s clash due to a concussion suffered in the match against Sydney.
Kathryn Harvey, Kiera Meyers, and Emilia Murray have all been included in Michael Matricciani’s extended squad.
