Melbourne City has drawn Newcastle Jets in the Round of 16 of the 2018 FFA Cup.
The draw – conducted after the final whistle of City’s extra time win over Brisbane Roar on Tuesday night – confirmed a home tie for Warren Joyce’s side in a replay of the 2017/18 A-League Semi Final.
It will be the first time the two sides go head-to-head in the cup competition as City look to atone for last year’s A-League Finals exit. The match will be played between 21-29 August with the final date and venue to be confirmed shortly via melbournecityfc.com.au and our social media channels.
