FBMA Challenge to be streamed live

Melbourne City Women’s clash against sister club Manchester City Women’s FC will be streamed live on melbournecityfc.com.au

While the match will kick off in the early hours of the morning in Australia, dedicated fans of City’s record-breaking women’s team can head to melbournecityfc.com.au at around 12.50am this Thursday morning to catch Melbourne City Women in action against Manchester City Women in the FBMA Challenge.

The match – a first between two City women sides – kicks off at 6pm local time (1am AEDT) at the New York University Abu Dhabi Campus on Saadiyat Isaland, in the U.A.E capital.

In July 2015, Melbourne City and Manchester City’s men’s teams met for the first time on the Gold Coast in Australia in a historic meeting in which Manchester prevailed 1-0, thanks to a Samir Nasri strike.

Now it’s time for the club’s womens teams to face off in Abu Dhabi.

Both sides have enjoyed recent success with Melbourne City crowned Westfield W-League Premiers and Champions, and City qualifying for the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the first time in late 2015.

The game is also being broadcast on Abu Dhabi Sports 1 allowing fans across the Middle East region and around the globe to tune in.
