Melbourne City FC Head Coach Erick Mombaerts will remain in Melbourne this weekend ahead of our Round 24 and 26 clashes against Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets respectively.
The decision to remain in Melbourne has been taken on medical advice and personal circumstances with the club completely supportive of the decision. Although Erick is disappointed to not travel with the team, he also understands the unique situation.
Assistant Coach Patrick Kisnorbo will deputise while in New South Wales on Friday and Monday. Mombaerts will be in close contact with the A-League squad during their time away and will be back in charge of our remaining fixtures in Melbourne.
