Premier League trophy visits Challenge

The English Premier League Trophy visited Melbourne City FC community partner Challenge Cancer on Friday morning, giving children and families dealing with cancer the chance to get up close to the trophy.

Rafael, with his sister Gabriella and mum Natasha, had the unique opportunity to stand face to face with the trophy as they also met former Manchester City goalkeeper and City in the Community Ambassador Alex Williams.

Melbourne City FC has a close relationship with Challenge and Challenge CEO David Rogers was honoured that the Club could bring the trophy to their Family Centre.

“We continue to thoroughly enjoy our ongoing partnership and to have one of our members given the opportunity to touch the trophy, which all young soccer players dream to hold, it was a wonderful experience,” Rogers said.

Challenge are an organisation that supports children and families living with cancer. Over the 30 years Challenge has been operating, they have grown from small beginnings to become well-known and respected as a non-profit organisation providing children living with cancer and their families an opportunity to interact with others in similar circumstances.
