TEAM NEWS: Vidmar confirms squad to face Adelaide

The run home continues to heat up with just two games remaining in Melbourne City’s A-League Men’s season.

A valuable point on the road last time out further tightened our grip on second place and the AFC Champions League Elite spot it brings with it—but the job isn’t done yet.

Aurelio Vidmar’s squad has been in strong form, with just one defeat across our last nine matches (6W, 2D), and will be looking to continue that momentum when Adelaide United visits AAMI Park this Saturday night.

The Reds will be just as desperate for all three points, although for a different reason. This weekend marks their final match of the season, and they’ll need a win to keep their Finals hopes alive.

Vidmar has added young duo Arion Sulemani and Harry Politidis to the extended squad, with both players in the frame for selection come Saturday.

Meanwhile, Mathew Leckie will remain sidelined for another week as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury. The positive news is that he’s ticking all the right boxes in his rehab and remains on track to return in next weekend’s regular season finale against Sydney FC.
