GALLERY: History-making Premiers crowned at home

Melbourne City marked its historic third consecutive Ninja A-League Women’s Premiers Plate with a special trophy lift at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon.

Fresh off a record-breaking season, the squad was presented on the pitch at half-time of City’s men’s match, with captain Rebekah Stott lifting the trophy in front of a passionate crowd.

The moment gave supporters the opportunity to recognise and celebrate a team that has made history, becoming the first in the competition to secure three straight Premierships in a full home-and-away era.

Earlier in the day, players also spent time with fans at City Square ahead of kick-off, creating a special connection before the on-field celebrations continued at AAMI Park.
