Melbourne City FC will return to AAMI Park to kick its busy March schedule off with a rescheduled fixture against Perth Glory on Wednesday night.
Patrick Kisnorbo will again be reliant on his squad depth to secure consistent results over the next month and will hope to gain some big names back for the Perth clash.
Scott Jamieson looks ready for a return to the starting lineup following his second-half appearance against Sydney on Saturday, assisting Mathew Leckie’s winner with an intelligent ball wide for the winger in space. Prior to that, the left-back had missed the last two games with injury before returning to the squad via the bench on the weekend.
Midfield anchor Aiden O’Neill will be another key squad member who may return to face the Glory after missing last weekend’s Sydney clash following a head knock sustained in the game prior. Rostyn Griffiths deputised in defensive midfield against the Sky Blues, but the 33-year-old’s versatility will mean his presence will undoubtedly soon be required elsewhere in the starting lineup, so O’Neill’s return can’t come quickly enough.
Tsubasa Endoh made his Melbourne City debut off the bench against Sydney and was on the park for Leckie’s stunning winner.
The Japanese winger immediately looked the part in City blue, pressing hard to turn over possession in dangerous areas. He, along with Marco Tilio, who made a 30-minute cameo in the second half, will be hoping for a place in the starting XI on Wednesday, but will find it difficult given the form of City’s front four.
