City youngster Connor Metcalfe will join his fellow Young Socceroo City battalion at the 2018 AFC U19 Championships in Indonesia after receiving a late call-up to the squad.
Metcalfe was a part of the side’s extended squad in the lead up to the tournament but with an injury to Western Sydney’s Kostas Grozos, the City midfielder was first choice to replace Grozos in Ante Milicic’s 23-player side.
Metcalfe joins Nathaniel Atkinson, James Delianov, Dylan Pierias, Josh Cavallo, Moudi Najjar and Ramy Najjarine in the side to take on Korea Republic, Vietnam and Jordan in Group C of the tournament.
