Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today announced it will move the venue for Melbourne City FC’s Round 11 Westfield W-League 2016/17 fixture against Sydney FC on Sunday 8 January 2017 from Leichhardt Oval to Allianz Stadium.
The fixture was originally scheduled at Central Coast Stadium as a double header with a Hyundai A-League match, however due to limited change room facilities, was then moved to Leichhardt Oval.
In recent days FFA was advised that the Leichhardt Oval playing surface was not up to the standard the Westfield W-League requires following some recent works. As such, to ensure the quality of playing conditions and the need for a broadcast facility, the game will now be played at Allianz Stadium with a 2.30pm kick off.
The game is a rematch of the Westfield W-League 2016 Grand Final, and will be televised live on Fox Sports 505 and ABC TV
