2021 Dolan Warren Awards: City Recap

2021 Dolan Warren Awards: City Recap

Melbourne City was well represented at this evening’s 2021 Dolan Warren Awards, with A-League Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo, Jamie Maclaren and Teagan Micah each taking home individual awards.

The night started with the PFA’s (Professional Footballers Australia) Team of the Year which featured no less than 5 City players. Jamie Maclaren led the star-studded list after being named Captain and he was joined by City Captain Scott Jamieson, Craig Noone, Curtis Good and Connor Metcalfe. The team was rounded off with Kisnorbo being named Coach.

The A-League Coach of the Year was awarded next and our very own Patrick Kisnorbo took the honours after steering City to its maiden Premiers Plate in his first season as Head Coach.

After her brilliant season in goal for City, Matildas keeper Teagan Micah was named the Westfield W-League Goalkeeper of the Year. A just reward for a great campaign.

The final award to be taken out by a City player was the A-League’s Nike Golden Boot as City’s star striker Jamie Maclaren was crowned the leagues top scorer for the second consecutive season – and the third time in his career.

With the A-League 2021 Grand Final only days away, the most important award of all is in our sights as we take on Sydney FC. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketek so get yours and let’s turn AAMI Park into our fortress!
