Team News: City squads confirmed for long weekend football

Melbourne City is set to take to AAMI Park twice in the space of two days over the upcoming Labour Day long weekend.

Rado Vidosic’s Men’s squad will first be in action on Sunday afternoon when they host Brisbane Roar, with Dario Vidosic’s Women’s squad the away team against Melbourne Victory on Monday.

Both Head Coaches have now confirmed their squads for the weekend.

A nine-day turnaround is set to be good news for Portuguese defender Nuno Reis, who copped a head knock last week but has passed all of the relevant checks since in the lead-up to Sunday’s match.

Youngsters Luke Oresti and Kerrin Stokes have both been promoted to City’s squad to face the Roar.

Looking ahead to Monday’s clash, City will welcome back Daniela Galic from Young Matildas duty after she was away for the team’s last fixture.

This means that City fans could see exciting trio Holly McNamara, Maria Jose Rojas and Galic on the pitch together for the first time in Monday’s Melbourne Derby.
