We found out on Monday night that, once again, we’ll face Wellington Phoenix in the Australia Cup.
It marks the third campaign in a row that we’ll see this match-up in the Cup, and details for our Round of 16 fixture have now been confirmed.
We’ll be back in familiar surroundings at Jack Edwards Reserve in Oakleigh, set to face the Phoenix on Sunday 27 August.
Once again, we’ll kick off at 2pm and City members will receive free entry, along with kids under the age of 12. Concession tickets are priced at just $15 and adults $20. Full ticketing info to come.
City members will receive more information about match access via email early next week.
Wellington advanced to the Round of 16 via a 2-1 win over Peninsula Power in a clash that needed extra time to separate teams, Josh Rudland popping up for the winner in the 119th minute.
After back-to-back Cup exits at the hands of the Phoenix, City will have the perfect chance to get some revenge.
With two extra weeks of pre-season training in the legs and an AFC Champions League campaign fast approaching, Rado Vidosic’s squad will only have one thing on their minds next Sunday – putting in a strong performance to progress to the final eight!
Stay tuned to our channels for upcoming ticketing information.
