Chelsea Blissett to depart Melbourne City

Melbourne City FC A-League Women’s defender Chelsea Blissett will depart City after agreeing a mutual contract termination with the club. 

A valued member of the club over the past five seasons, Blissett made 44 appearances in City colours, including seven appearances in the club’s 2019/20 Invincibles season. 

A-League Women’s Head Coach, Dario Vidosic said: 

“Chelsea has been an important member of our team and our club for the past five years.

“On behalf of the entire club, we wish her the very best with the next chapter of her career.” 

Chelsea Blissett said:

“I’ve loved my last five years at City, this club gave me my start which I will be forever grateful for. 

“It’s sad to say goodbye but it’s time to start a new chapter in my life. I will always hold a special place in my heart for City.

“Thank you to all the fans and the club for their support and I wish the club the best of luck in the future.”
