TALKING POINTS: 2023/24 ALW & ALM Fixture

With the announcement of the 2023/24 A-League Women’s and A-League Men’s fixtures, we take a closer look at some of the talking points.

Have you got football fever? Grab your City membership ahead of the season and don’t miss out on any of the action.

First home game

City fans will get to watch their teams in action for the first time this A-Leagues season on Saturday 21 October at AAMI Park.

Our Women’s and Men’s teams will take on Canberra United and Western United respectively in a blockbuster double-header.

New ALW home

Experience Women’s football as it should be, on a dedicated football pitch at our City Football Academy at Casey Fields.

With plenty of undercover areas, tiered seating, food, entertainment, and an improved viewing experience for fans, we’re excited to host all 7 standalone Women’s fixtures at our City Football Academy for the very first time.

One for the ALW history books

On Friday 15 December, our Women will play Central Coast Mariners for the very first time.

The Mariners will return to the competition this season and we’re set to face them for the first time under Friday night lights.

This is one for the travelling fans!

Melbourne Derby Double-Header

For the first time ever, we’ll host arch rivals Melbourne Victory in a Christmas Derby double-header.

Our Women kick-off the action at AAMI Park on Saturday 23 December at 5:00pm. In what is set to be a mouth-watering re-match of last season’s Elimination Final, Dario Vidosic’s team will be looking to get one back on Victory.

Head Coach Rado Vidosic’s men then take to the field at 7:45pm as they look to give City fans an early Christmas present.

ALM Grand Final re-match

We’ll host the Central Coast Mariners for the first time since last season’s Grand Final on Sunday 17 December at AAMI Park, before travelling to Industree Group Stadium on Sunday 21 January.

Looking to make amends for last season’s result, this is a fixture to pencil in your diaries.

FINAL ALM HOME GAME

Our final regular season home fixture of the A-League Men’s competition will be played on Sunday 28 April against Western United.

A chance to recognise and thank our members, we’ll be looking to secure three points in front of the City family.

Are you still riding the high following the Women’s World Cup? There’s no better way to catch all the action than with a City membership.
