Star A-League Women’s trio, Hannah Wilkinson, Rebekah Stott and Lysianne Proulx, have been called up by their respective national teams for the September international window.
In the first international window since New Zealand’s historic FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign, Wilkinson and Stott will travel to Santiago to take on Chile in a pair of friendlies.
Both Wilkinson and Stott played crucial roles in New Zealand registering their first ever World Cup win, Men’s or Women’s, as City’s all-time leading goal scorer, Wilkinson, netted the winner against Norway at Eden Park.
Canadian goalkeeper, Proulx, has been called up for Canada’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games Qualifiers against Jamaica. Head Coach Bev Priestman’s team will first travel to Jamaica for the first match, before concluding the series at home in Toronto.
As preparations for the upcoming A-League Women’s competition continue, the trio will depart pre-season for the international window before returning to City ahead of the squad’s opening fixture against the Wellington Phoenix.
