CALLED UP: Lysianne Proulx named in Canada’s squad

Melbourne City goalkeeper Lysianne Proulx has been named in Canada’s squad ahead of the national team’s games with Brazil during the October international window.

Proulx made her City debut in the team’s 1-0 Round 1 win over Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand on Sunday.

Starting in goal, the shot-stopper made a couple of vital saves to secure a clean sheet and the three points on debut.

Proulx will look to continue her impressive start in City colours when Dario Vidosic’s side host Canberra United on Saturday 21 October in what is set to be a blockbuster doubleheader at AAMI Park.

City’s A-League Women’s side host Canberra at 2:45pm, before the our A-League Men take on Western United at 5:30pm. Get your tickets here.
