Melbourne City duo, Jamie Maclaren and Aziz Behich, have been named in the Socceroos squad for this month’s World Cup qualifiers.
The Socceroos are set to face Bangladesh at the familiar venue of AAMI Park next Thursday night, before travelling to Kuwait to face Palestine the following Tuesday.
Maclaren returns to the squad after missing the last international window. He has begun his first season as captain in good form, having scored five goals across ten appearances in all competitions.

Behich has also been impressive in his first season back in Melbourne, starting every game and scoring a wonder goal away to Zhejiang in the ACL.

They are joined in the squad by a pair of City Academy products in Jordan Bos and Connor Metcalfe, with former City star, Aiden O’Neill also named in the 23-man squad.
Behich and Maclaren will join the national team in camp following Sunday’s home clash against Macarthur FC.
