Team News: City confirm weekend squads

A big weekend of City football is ahead with both squads in action at home for a pair of crucial fixtures.

First off, our City boys will be at AAMI Park to host Victory in the second Melbourne Derby of the season.

After what is set to be a hotly contested Derby, our City Women will return to City Football Academy to host Adelaide United.

Both squads are now locked in ahead of the weekend, with a couple of big ins particularly in Aurelio Vidmar’s men’s side.

New signing Vicente Fernandez has been added straight into the squad, while both Callum Talbot (shoulder) and Nuno Reis (groin) look let to return from injury.

Tolgay Arslan remains unavailable for selection pending a final verdict from Football Australia’s Disciplinary and Ethics Comittee after receiving a red card in our away fixture to Perth Glory.

Rebekah Stott and Hannah Wilkinson are still away with New Zealand on international duty, which means Dario Vidosic will have largely the same squad to pick from as last week’s draw with Sydney FC.
