STOTT: I just love this club so much

Returning to AAMI Park for the first time since securing the Premiers Plate, City’s A-League Women’s stars lifted the trophy in front of the City family.

In what was a day to remember for City fans, Head Coach, Dario Vidosic, and his side lifted the Premiers Plate at half-time of City’s 8-0 win over Perth Glory.

Speaking to Michael Zappone on Paramount+, City captain, Rebekah Stott said: “It was so amazing to do it here at AAMI Park in front of our fans, it’s such a great year we’ve had but it’s not over yet and we’re thrilled.”

Reflecting on her seventh trophy in City colours, with three Premiers Plates and four Championships, the skipper said she’s eyeing an eighth for the club she loves so much.

“I hope so [to win an eighth], that’s the goal,” Stott said. “It’s pretty incredible, I just love this club so much and I’m so happy to be here.”
