Melbourne City FC is thrilled to announce the signing of Young Matildas attacker, Emilia Murray, on a two-year deal.
The 19-year-old will remain at the Club until at least the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, with her addition strengthening City’s attacking options ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 A-League Women’s season and inaugural AFC Women’s Champions League.
An exciting young talent, Murray joins City after spending the past three seasons at Adelaide United where she made 29 appearances and netted three goals.
Murray is a pacey attacker who possesses great attacking flair and has showcased leadership qualities beyond her years, having previously captained Australia at youth international level.
She joins fellow Young Matildas star Alexia Apostolakis in signing at City, emphasising the Club’s commitment to nurturing and showcasing Australia’s best young talent.
The duo’s acquisition highlights City’s ambition to blend youth and experience as the team aims for more silverware in the upcoming season.
Melbourne City FC Director of Football, Michael Petrillo, welcomed Murray to the squad.
“We are delighted to have Emilia join us at Melbourne City. She is an incredibly talented young footballer with a bright future ahead of her.
“Emilia’s ability to impact games with her creativity will be a significant boost for us. We look forward to seeing her thrive in City colours.”
