2024/25 FIXTURE: ALW draw revealed

The 2024/25 Ninja A-League Women’s fixture has dropped. Ahead of our season opener, we take a look at some of the key talking points.

HOME OPENER

Melbourne City kick-off the 2024/25 Ninja A-League season at the City Football Academy (CFA) at 3:00pm on Sunday 3 November.

Undefeated at the CFA last season, City will look to extend their unbeaten run at home when Michael Matricciani takes the reigns of his first ever A-Leagues match.

A familiar foe awaits, with City hosting Perth Glory – the side they defeated in the final regular season fixture of the 2023/24 campaign to clinch the Premiers Plate on a dramatic final day of football.

FIVE HOME DOUBLE HEADERS AT AAMI, SIX GAMES AT CFA.

Double the games, double the fun – the 2024/25 fixture will see City host five double headers at AAMI Park, featuring the Club’s A-League Women’s and Men’s stars.

City will also host six ALW games at the City Football Academy – the team’s home fortress.

Up close to the action with signatures aplenty post the final whistle, don’t miss any of the action as City host Perth Glory, Central Coast Mariners, Wellington Phoenix, Melbourne Victory, Adelaide United and Western United at Casey Fields.

CROSSTOWN CLASHES

There’s not long to wait until City’s first Melbourne Derby, with City facing Melbourne Victory away at AAMI Park on Saturday 9 November, kick-off 2:15pm.

The reigning Premiers Plate winners will have to wait until 2025 to host both Melbourne Victory and Western United, with both games taking place at the City Football Academy for the very first time.

NYE ON THE COAST

It’s a City v Central Coast New Year’s Eve double header on the Coast.

If there’s one away fixture to pencil in, this is the one.

City’s A-League Women will open the double header when they take on the Mariners at 4:15pm on Tuesday 31 December, before the Men follow soon after with a 7:00pm kick-off at Industree Group Stadium.
