In addressing the team, Matricciani expressed his excitement about the chosen leaders.

“The three players I want to congratulate that will be part of the leadership group with Stotty are Taylor, Mini, and Bubs.”

“Everyone is a leader; it doesn’t matter how old or how young you are. We all lead in different ways.”

Pollicina echoed Matricciani’s sentiments, emphasising the leadership strengths within the group.

“As Michael said, there are 23 leaders in the team, so I’m very honoured to be part of our leadership group. We’re all leaders, and we want to win this year.

“To be standing next to Stotty, we love learning from you, so we’re very grateful for that as well.”
