Melbourne City defender Tyla-Jay Vlajnic will be eyeing a spot at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 as she joins the Serbian national team for the upcoming international window.
Vlajnic and Serbia will take on Sweden in a two-legged playoff for one of the final seven spots at next year’s tournament.
This marks a significant milestone for Serbia, who are aiming to qualify for their debut major tournament and are participating in the playoffs for the first time in their history.
Serbia host the former European champions in Leskovac, before facing Sweden in Stockholm in the away leg of the fixture.
Due to her international commitments, Vlajnic will miss City’s upcoming double header against Western Sydney Wanderers in the Ninja A-League Women’s competition.
Vlajnic will be available for selection in this Sunday’s Unite Round Grand Final re-match before departing for Europe.
