A-League Men’s Assistant Coach, Raffaele Napoli, has departed Melbourne City FC to pursue an overseas coaching opportunity.
Napoli, who re-joined City in December 2023 after a previous decade-long tenure, contributed significantly to both the Youth and First Team programs across multiple roles during his time at the Club.
We thank Raffaele for his dedication and service and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
Paul Pezos has been appointed as an Assistant Coach and will join Aurelio Vidmar’s staff with immediate effect, travelling with the squad for Friday night’s fixture against Brisbane Roar.
Following a playing career that featured over 400 senior appearances including stints with West Adelaide in the NSL and Perth Glory in the A-League, Pezos has since embarked on a highly successful coaching journey.
An AFC Pro License holder, Pezos joins City off the back of a multi-Championship winning tenure with Adelaide City in NPLSA, having previously coached at West Adelaide as well as Adelaide United’s Youth and Women’s teams.
