LAST HOME GAME OF 2024

It’s shaping up to be an entertaining clash between two of the in-form teams of the competition at the ctrl:cyber Pitch on Saturday afternoon.

City have a chance to make it four consecutive wins following last week’s comprehensive 3-1 win over Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium.

A tough opponent awaits, with Wellington holding their own unbeaten streak.

The Nix enter the match having gone four games unbeaten, including a 2-0 win over the reigning Champions, Sydney FC, last weekend.

It’s summer holiday football at home, and it’s set to be a cracker. Be there.

FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

Two second-half appearances, two score involvements. Holly McNamara is well and truly back and her impact is undeniable.

After a long-term knee injury, McNamara has seamlessly integrated back into the squad, showcasing her talent and attacking prowess as she continues to build minutes off the bench.

Our Number 9 sealed the points for City in her comeback match against Canberra United, assisting Leticia McKenna, before coming off the bench against the Reds to secure the three points with a perfectly taken goal.

With 20 goals in just seven matches, City boasts the league’s most potent attack, and McNamara’s return only amplifies their firepower alongside the likes of Mariana Speckmaier, Lourdes Bosch, and Rhianna Pollicina.

A VITAL RUN OF GAMES

The season is beginning to heat up and City now face a crucial run of games in the Ninja A-League Women’s competition.

Three games in nine days awaits for Matricciani’s side, and there’s no doubt that the team will be looking to begin that run by continuing the winning momentum with three points at home.

It’s a period where squad depth is tested and if last weekend’s win over Adelaide is anything to go by, the whole squad is ready.
