However, the victory was marred by an injury to Austrian midfielder Andreas Kuen, who was forced off in the first half with a hamstring issue.
He now becomes the latest attacking player to join the injury list, expected to be out for 6-8 weeks.
Attention now shifts to Western United as we look to secure a second win of the season against our crosstown rivals, following a 1-0 victory back in November.
