After kicking off 2025 with an impressive win over Wellington Phoenix, Melbourne City is already preparing for a quick turnaround on Tuesday night.
Harry Politidis and Nathaniel Atkinson found the back of the net in Friday’s dominant display, securing all three points in style.
However, the victory was marred by an injury to Austrian midfielder Andreas Kuen, who was forced off in the first half with a hamstring issue.
He now becomes the latest attacking player to join the injury list, expected to be out for 6-8 weeks.
Attention now shifts to Western United as we look to secure a second win of the season against our crosstown rivals, following a 1-0 victory back in November.
