Melbourne City will host Taichung Blue Whale Women’s Football Team in the Quarter Finals of the inaugural AFC Women’s Champions League competition following Wednesday night’s draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur.
After topping Group B in October, Michael Matricciani’s side earned a home Quarter Final with its location, date and time to be confirmed at a later date.
With eight teams remaining in the 2024/25 competition, City was allocated in Pot 1 alongside the other two group winners and the best-ranked runner-up.
City’s Quarter Final opponents Taichung Blue Whale qualified for the Quarter Finals via Group C, after they finished the Group Stage in third position behind Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies and Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC.
