As we approach International Women’s Day this Saturday 8 March, Melbourne City was proud to host a special lunch event in celebration of the remarkable contributions of women in sport and our community.
This year’s theme, “March Forward,” serves as a powerful reminder that progress is not just about reflection but about taking decisive, bold steps toward equality.
The lunch brought together City’s A-League Women’s players, their sponsors, and staff members from across the Club.

Guests were treated to an engaging panel discussion featuring City’s Head Coach, Michael Matricciani, Captain Rebekah Stott, City Fan Representative Group Co-Chair Kathleen Crawford, and Lottie Turner, recently appointed as Manchester City’s Senior Program Manager for Partner Schools Australia.
The panelists shared their insights and experiences, highlighting the importance of female representation in sports and the ongoing efforts needed to create a more equitable landscape.
