Melbourne City’s Powerchair side has been crowned champions after an unbeaten tournament saw them take out the National Club Championships on Thursday night.
The competition’s two strongest sides faced off in the Grand Final as City took on the Newcastle Jets – a team they defeated 4-3 in an entertaining contest earlier in the tournament.
Just like their first match-up, City prevailed, defeating the Jets 2-0 to take out the Championship trophy.

Securing the Club’s first National Club Championship trophy, it was a tournament to remember for City who netted 51 goals, conceded five goals and kept an impressive nine clean sheets.
The team’s biggest win came in Round 1, setting the tone for a memorable tournament with an 11-0 win over Auckland FC.
