Melbourne City star Holly McNamara has been named in the Matildas squad for a two-match international series against Korea Republic in the March/April FIFA Women’s International Window.
As the squad ramps up their preparations for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™, they will host Korea in Sydney on Friday 4 April and Newcastle on Monday 7 April.
McNamara has been in red-hot form of late with City, netting eight goals in her last five City appearances – including her first goal in the AFC Women’s Champions League when she converted a penalty in City’s Quarter Final win.
McNamara made her return to the national stage with the Matildas earlier this year, after competing in the SheBelieves tournament in February. The young gun featured off the bench in Australia’s 4-0 loss to Japan, before earning a place in the starting XI against reigning Olympic Gold medalists, the U.S. Women’s National Team – her first start for the Matildas in 1,122 days.

The 22-year-old will depart for national team duty following another important week with City, where the Michael Matricciani’s side will take on Brisbane Roar in Brisbane on Wednesday night, before travelling to New Zealand to face the Wellington Phoenix on Sunday.
