The stage is set for another blockbuster at AAMI Park this Saturday night as Melbourne City resumes our Semi-Final tie against Western United.
Holding a 3-0 lead from the first leg, City sits just 90 minutes away from a place in the 2025 A-League Men’s Grand Final, where either Auckland FC or Melbourne Victory will await.
It was a near-perfect opening to the two-legged tie last weekend, with goals from Germán Ferreyra, Yonatan Cohen, and Mathew Leckie putting City in a commanding position.
And in a boost ahead of this weekend’s decisive clash, Nathaniel Atkinson has been named to return to the squad after missing the first leg with a minor calf injury.
Promising young midfielder Emin Durakovic also comes into the extended squad, with no omissions from the team that took to the pitch last Saturday.
Head Coach Aurelio Vidmar will now weigh up his options as preparations wrap up, knowing the job is only half done as the team looks to complete a professional performance and book a place in the big dance.
