Melbourne City’s final squad of the 2024/25 season has been confirmed, with Head Coach Aurelio Vidmar naming the 20 players in contention for Saturday night’s A-League Men’s Grand Final.
For the first time in A-Leagues history, a Melbourne Derby will headline the season’s biggest stage, with City and Melbourne Victory set to battle it out for the Championship trophy at AAMI Park.
City secured its spot in the decider with a comprehensive 4-1 aggregate win over Western United, following up a dominant first leg with a composed and professional 1-1 result last weekend. Captain Aziz Behich continued his strong run of form, finding the back of the net for the second time in three games in another standout performance.
There are no major surprises in Vidmar’s Grand Final squad, with all players from last weekend’s second leg retaining their place.
Young defender Harry Shillington has been promoted to the extended group, while Lawrence Wong is back in selection contention after recovering from a wrist injury sustained while playing with the Club’s Youth Team.

City will now enter final preparations ahead of Saturday’s decider as we look to lift the Championship trophy in front of a packed AAMI Park.
