Emotions ran high at the final whistle. Germán Ferreyra and Patrick Beach were in tears, while a battered and bruised Mathew Leckie stood tall after a heroic performance that earned him the Joe Marston Medal for Player of the Grand Final.
The celebrations carried on down the tunnel, with Nathaniel Atkinson, captain Aziz Behich, and Kai Trewin among the stars showing off their medals and soaking up the moment after standout displays on the night.
At his cheeky best, Ferreyra led a few of his teammates in to crash the post-match press conference between Vidmar and Behich.
The Championship-winning coach and captain were quickly soaked in champagne as the celebrations continued.
