Football Australia has today released the official Domestic Match Calendar for the 2025/26 season, outlining key dates across both the A-League Men and A-League Women competitions.
A-League Men: Championship Defence Begins in October
Melbourne City’s Men’s team will commence their Championship defence on the weekend of Friday, 17 October 2025, as they kick off the 2025/26 A-League Men’s regular season.
The Club will be looking to build on its title-winning campaign and begin the new season strongly as they set their sights on more silverware.
With City eying back-to-back Grand Final appearances, the 2025/26 Grand Final has been scheduled for the weekend of 22–24 May 2026.

A-League Women: Back-to-Back Premiers Plate Winners Return Late October
Fresh off securing back-to-back Premiers Plates, Melbourne City’s Women’s team will take to the pitch for the 2025/26 Ninja A-League Women’s season from the weekend commencing Friday, 31 October 2025.
City’s Invincibles will be aiming to build on their dominant 2024/25 season, as they look to go one step further and reach the 2025/26 A-League Women’s Grand Final, which is set for the weekend of 15–17 May 2026.
