Melbourne City’s Men’s and Women’s squads are both back in action this weekend, with two big fixtures ahead across the Easter period.
City’s Men will kick things off on Saturday night, returning to AAMI Park for the first time in six weeks as we host Western Sydney Wanderers in an important Isuzu UTE A-League clash.

Attention will then turn to Sunday afternoon, where our City Women – fresh from being crowned Premiers for a third year in a row – will wrap up their Ninja A-League regular season with a trip to face Newcastle Jets.
Both squads have now been confirmed, with some key inclusions across the board.
For Aurelio Vidmar’s side, Andreas Kuen returns to the extended squad after missing last week’s trip to Perth through suspension, providing an important boost in midfield. Medin Memeti has also been promoted, adding further depth in attack.

There are no confirmed omissions from the group that travelled west a fortnight ago, with City set to build on strong recent performances as we return home.
For Michael Matricciani’s side, it will be a slightly reshuffled squad making the trip to Newcastle, with several players unavailable due to international duty and injury.
Young trio Alexia Apostolakis, Danella Butrus and Shelby McMahon are away with the Young Matildas at the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup, while Holly McNamara will miss through concussion protocols.
Chinaza Uchendu is also unavailable this weekend after being issued a suspension following our most recent league match, with the final sanction to be confirmed following next week’s tribunal process.
Those absences have opened the door for a number of young players to step into the squad, with Izabella Rako, Kaya Jugovic and Keira Sarris all promoted.
Ellie Wilson also returns from injury, while there is a potential debut opportunity for Chelsea Biggs, who has been elevated from the Club’s NPLW program.
