Melbourne City has confirmed our extended squad ahead of a crucial midweek clash against Central Coast Mariners on Tuesday night.
Aurelio Vidmar’s side will take plenty of confidence into the contest after a strong 3-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday night, with goals from Andreas Kuen, Marcus Younis and Elbasan Rashani sealing an important three points at AAMI Park.
That result marked another step forward in City’s push towards Finals football, with momentum building at a key stage of the season as the race for the top six continues to tighten.

Tuesday night’s clash looms as another significant test, with the Mariners sitting just a point behind City on the ladder and also firmly in the hunt for a Finals berth. With little separating the two sides, the outcome could prove pivotal in shaping the run home.
City will, however, be without one of our standout performers from the weekend, with Marcus Younis unavailable due to suspension. The winger was instrumental in Saturday’s win, contributing a goal and two assists, before being shown a second yellow card in the second half.
His absence opens the door for opportunities within the squad, with Medin Memeti and Ben Mazzeo both promoted into the extended group, adding depth in the attacking areas.

Liam Bonetig has also been included in an otherwise settled squad, with goalkeeper Patrick Beach to miss again on Tuesday night through a quad niggle.
