After a Premiership-winning regular season, Melbourne City has been recognised with four selections in the Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) A-League Women Team of the Season.
Captain Rebekah Stott, Golden Boot winner Holly McNamara, midfielder Leticia McKenna and forward Aideen Keane were all recognised by their peers following City’s dominant 2025/26 campaign.
Stott earned the highest number of votes across the competition to be named captain of the Team of the Season, marking the third consecutive year she has received the honour and the fourth selection of her decorated career.
McNamara was voted into the starting XI after a standout campaign in front of goal, while McKenna and Keane were selected on the substitutes bench after playing key roles in City securing the Premiers Plate.

The PFA Team of the Season is voted on by A-League Women players at the conclusion of the regular season, making it one of the highest honours in Australian football.
Stott said being recognised by fellow players made the achievement especially meaningful.
“To be voted by your peers in the PFA Team of the Season is one of the biggest honours you can receive as a player, and to be named captain is even more meaningful,” Stott said.
“The players are the ones you compete against every week, so to earn that level of respect from them makes this recognition really special.
“I’ve been fortunate to be part of an incredible team at Melbourne City, and I wouldn’t be in this position without my teammates, coaches and staff.”
City’s quartet were instrumental throughout a remarkable regular season that saw Michael Matricciani’s side finish on top of the league and secure a third consecutive AFC Women’s Champions League campaign.

McNamara’s clinical finishing delivered her a second consecutive Golden Boot, while Stott once again anchored the league leader’s defence with her leadership and composure at the back.
McKenna continued to influence matches in midfield with her creativity and work rate, while Keane provided a constant attacking threat during an impressive first season in City colours.
The recognition continues City’s strong representation in the PFA Team of the Season and highlights the squad’s consistency throughout a campaign that has already delivered silverware, with attention now turning to Saturday’s Grand Final at AAMI Park.
