FIXTURE NEWS: Halloween home opener locked in!

Melbourne City’s first home match of the 2026/27 A-League Men’s season has been confirmed, with Aurelio Vidmar’s side set to host last season’s Grand Finalists Sydney FC at AAMI Park on Saturday 31 October.

With the full fixture release just around the corner, City fans can already lock in a family-friendly Halloween outing, with kick-off scheduled for 5:00pm.

It will be City’s first home fixture of the new campaign, with three early-season points on the line as we look to make a strong start in front of our home fans.

The clash reunites two of the competition’s heavyweights after a pair of tightly contested meetings last season. The teams played out a scoreless draw at AAMI Park before City claimed all three points in Sydney later in the campaign thanks to a second-half Max Caputo header.

While we’ll have more to share on our Halloween home opener in the lead-up to matchday, supporters can already expect a fun evening for the whole family at AAMI Park.

Earlier today, the official A-Leagues app revealed we’ll kick off our new campaign across the ditch against reigning champions Auckland FC on Saturday 17 October.

The full 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League fixture will be released at 8:00am AEST on Thursday, with City’s remaining home and away matches to be confirmed.
