A home start worth the wait

After opening the season on the road in Auckland and taking on Melbourne Victory in the first away Derby of the campaign, it’s finally time for our first official home match.

Our home opener arrives on Saturday 31 October, with Patrick Kisnorbo’s Sydney FC making the trip to Melbourne for a blockbuster Halloween clash under the lights.

With a family-friendly 5:00pm kick-off, it’s the perfect opportunity to get to AAMI Park before another Sydney heavyweight rolls into town just seven days later.

Western Sydney Wanderers complete a huge opening home stand, giving fans back-to-back opportunities to watch the boys in City blue before the first international break of the campaign.

Festive football returns

After a run of away fixtures through late November and early December, City returns home just in time for one of the biggest periods of the season.

The annual Christmas Derby takes centre stage on Saturday 19 December, before another marquee fixture follows just eight days later when Auckland FC visits Melbourne.

The meeting between the competition’s two most recent Champions shapes as one of the standout contests of the festive period, with supporters able to enjoy a unique Trans-Tasman sporting doubleheader after Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test between Australia and New Zealand, just across the road at the MCG.

The summer holiday football continues into the new year with consecutive 5:00pm home kick-offs against Wellington Phoenix and Brisbane Roar, making AAMI Park the place to be throughout the festive break.

Summer rolls on

Following a stretch on the road, City is back at home on Saturday 13 February to host Central Coast Mariners in a Saturday night showdown.

A fortnight later, Wellington Phoenix arrives in Melbourne for a family-friendly Sunday afternoon fixture, before Adelaide United rounds out March with another afternoon clash at AAMI Park.

As the race for Finals football begins to intensify, every point – and every voice in the stands – could prove crucial.

Built for a big finish

If momentum is everything at the business end of the season, City looks well placed to finish strongly in front of our home fans.

Back-to-back Friday night fixtures against Macarthur FC and Perth Glory headline April before consecutive Saturday home games against Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets bring the regular season to a close.

With rivalries, festive football, family-friendly kick-off times and a home-heavy finish all on the agenda, there’s never been a better time to lock in your place at AAMI Park.
