Melbourne City’s Leticia McKenna has become the third City player selected in the A-League Women All Stars squad, earning another well-deserved honour following an impressive 2025/26 campaign.
The dynamic midfielder joins teammates Rebekah Stott and Shelby McMahon in the squad set to face English Women’s Super League powerhouse Chelsea Women at the Sydney Super Cup, with the fixture bringing together the very best talent from across the Ninja A-League.
McKenna’s selection caps off another outstanding season in City blue, where she played a pivotal role in one of the most successful campaigns in the Club’s history.
The versatile midfielder was a key figure throughout City’s record-breaking third consecutive Premiership before helping secure the Championship with a 3-1 Grand Final win over Wellington Phoenix.
She saved one of her very best performances for the biggest stage, producing a stunning long-range strike in the Grand Final at AAMI Park to help seal the Championship and cap a memorable Premiership-Championship double.
Her exceptional campaign earned widespread recognition, with McKenna named in the PFA Team of the Season after establishing herself among the competition’s elite performers.
The accolades didn’t stop at club level.
McKenna’s outstanding form was rewarded with her maiden Matildas call-up earlier this year, and the midfielder seized her opportunity in unforgettable fashion. Becoming Matilda #243, she marked her international debut with a goal in Australia’s 5-0 victory over Malawi.
Her impressive introduction to international football saw her retain her place in the national squad for the following FIFA window, featuring again as Australia faced Mexico in a pair of international friendlies.
