Melbourne City FC can confirm Andrew Nabbout has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping the experienced forward at the Club for the 2026/27 season.
Nabbout will enter his seventh season in City blue, adding proven experience and leadership to a squad featuring some of Australian football’s most exciting young talent.
Sitting seventh on the Club’s all-time appearances list, Nabbout has made 115 appearances and scored 18 goals in City colours.
During that time, the versatile attacker has won three Premierships and two Championships, establishing himself as a key figure in one of the most successful periods in the Club’s history.
Nabbout has trained with the squad throughout pre-season and is available for selection as preparations continue for Sunday’s Australia Cup Round of 32 clash against Weston Bears FC.
Melbourne City FC Director of Football Michael Petrillo welcomed Nabbout’s contract extension.
“Andrew has played an important role throughout a hugely successful period for our Club, and we’re pleased he’ll remain with us for another season,” Petrillo said.
“He brings a wealth of experience and a winning mentality, while the way he prepares and trains every day sets a great example for the younger players in our group.
“Andrew also has plenty to contribute on the pitch, and his versatility gives Aurelio another strong option in attack. We’re looking forward to seeing the role he can play this season.”
Nabbout said he was delighted to extend his time at Melbourne City.
“Melbourne City has become home over the past six years, so it means a lot to have the opportunity to pull on the City shirt for another season,” Nabbout said.
“I’ve been fortunate to share some incredible moments with this Club, and I’m as motivated as ever to help this group create more of them.
“We’ve already put in a lot of hard work throughout pre-season, and I know I have an important role to play both on the pitch and around the dressing room. I’m looking forward to embracing that responsibility throughout the season.”
