Melbourne City FC has finalised its Women’s coaching staff for the 2026/27 season, with Marcus Deluca and Constantino Olivera continuing alongside Head Coach Michael Matricciani.
Matricciani enters his third season at the helm after recently signing a two-year contract extension, leading a refreshed squad following a busy off-season.
After several members of last season’s Premiership and Championship-winning team have earned opportunities abroad, City has welcomed a number of exciting new additions ahead of the new campaign.
Deluca will once again serve as Assistant Coach, while Olivera continues as Goalkeeper Coach, providing important continuity within Matricciani’s coaching team.
Deluca joined City in March 2025 and has since played an important role in a highly successful period for the Women’s program, contributing to back-to-back Premierships and last season’s Championship triumph.
His role within the Club expanded earlier this year when he took charge of City’s NPLW squad midway through the season, working closely with some of the Club’s brightest young talents and helping strengthen the pathway between the Academy and first team.
Olivera joined City ahead of the 2025/26 campaign and has continued to play an important role in the development of the Club’s goalkeeping group.
With the coaching team locked in and a new-look squad close to finalised, attention now turns to preparations for the season ahead, with City set to return for pre-season training next week.
Matricciani’s side will once again compete on multiple fronts as it looks to defend its domestic titles and contest the AFC Women’s Champions League for a third consecutive campaign.
