A SPOOKY TWIST ON CITY
With City hosting its first-ever Halloween-themed home fixture, the Club wanted to create something special for supporters to remember the occasion.
Enter Freo, whose bold, comic-inspired artistic style has brought a unique look to the limited-edition design.
Taking inspiration from images of Mathew Leckie, Nathaniel Atkinson and Aziz Behich, Freo has reimagined the familiar faces with a Halloween twist, transforming them into spooky characters including vampires and mummies.

The result is a colourful, eye-catching design that combines the Club’s identity with the spirit of Halloween.
Freo initially explored several different concepts before settling on the final artwork, bringing his signature creative style to a design made specifically for City supporters.
MORE THAN JUST A T-SHIRT
The Halloween release marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration between Melbourne City and Freo, with five exclusive designs to be released throughout the 2026/27 season.

A Melbourne-based contemporary artist, Freo is known for his vibrant portraiture and expressive imagery, having previously created artwork for a range of athletes and brands, including Oscar Piastri, Ned Brockmann and the Australian Open golf.
His connection to City began through his sister Chloe, a passionate supporter of both the Men’s and Women’s teams, before his interest in the Club developed into an opportunity to collaborate.
Now, his artwork will be making its way from the studio to the stands at AAMI Park.
