Four players from Melbourne City FC’s 2022/23 Premiership winning squad are set to depart the Club following the conclusion of their contracts.
Valon Berisha, who joined City from Ligue 1 club, Stade de Reims, will return to France following the conclusion of his one-year loan deal.
The Kosovan international featured 27 times for City in the middle of the park, recording seven assists and scoring once himself.
Having joined City in 2020, goalkeeper Matthew Sutton is set to depart in search of other opportunities. A much-loved figure in the locker room since his arrival, Sutton was recently named City’s 2022/23 Clubman of the Year.

We thank them all for their contributions to the club’s success over the past seasons and wish them all the best for the future.
