Melbourne City FC can confirm the re-signing of midfielder Anthony Lesiotis on a scholarship contract for season 2021/22.
A product of City’s Academy, Lesiotis is a hard-working defensive midfielder who was keen to return to the Club and play the exciting style of football that City is known for.
The young midfielder re-joined the Club mid-way through last season and has taken his opportunity to train with the senior squad and improve his game.
Melbourne City FC Director of Football Michael Petrillo said:
“Anthony knows he is in a great environment where he has the opportunity to learn from a number of Socceroos and Olyroos. It is the perfect place to develop his career.
“Under Patrick Kisnorbo, we’re confident that he’ll deliver against his potential.”
The vast majority of City’s double-winning squad have committed for the 2021/22 season, with Lesiotis becoming the latest to re-sign.
