We advanced to the Round of 16 on Sunday afternoon in dramatic fashion, a 94th minute winner from young gun Alessandro Lopane ensuring the clash ended without the need for extra time.
Facing NPL Victoria side Oakleigh Cannons, City twice went behind before new signing and former Serie A midfielder, Tolgay Arslan, stepped up from the spot to equalise with a pair of cool penalties.
With some extra weeks of pre-season training in their legs prior to the upcoming Round of 16 clash against Wellington, expect City to come out full of steam and ready to put in a strong performance to advance to the final eight.
