City young gun Holly McNamara is set to make her return to international football after Football Australia today announced the Matildas squad to take on Scotland and England in April.

In the three games she’s played since her return from an ACL injury, McNamara has wasted no time showcasing her attacking prowess for City, with her selection a reward for the strong form she has already displayed.

A star of the domestic competition, McNamara will join the national team for camp in England, where the Matildas will take on Scotland at Cherry Red Records Stadium and current European champions, the Lionesses at Brentford. 

With preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup ramping up, the April international window will take place before week 1 of the A-League Women’s Finals.
