City draw Hakoah Sydney in Round of 16

Melbourne City FC will continue its FFA Cup title defence with a trip to New South Wales to face Hakoah Sydney in the Round of 16.

City secured its passage to the Round of 16 with a 2-0 win over Queensland side Peninsula Power, while Hakoah defeated Hills United 6-3 in a nine-goal classic in the Round of 32.

City was drawn as the away team against the NSW Member Federation side in FOX SPORTS’s live Round of 16 draw on Wednesday evening, following the conclusion of the Round of 32 fixtures.

Hakoah competes in the National Premier Leagues NSW and is based out of Hensely Athletics Field. 

The Round of 16 will see matches played across two nights with four matches per night. The possible match dates for the Round of 16 are 23/29/30 August, with match details still to be confirmed by Football Federation Australia.
