Melbourne City FC will travel to GIO Stadium to face Canberra United in a blockbuster Westfield W-League Semi-Final on Sunday 5 February.

City locked up the fourth and final semi-final berth with a 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets in a winner-takes-all meeting in Coffs Harbour on Friday, courtesy of second-half goals to Erika Tymrak and Amy Jackson.

The reigning champions will square off against newly crowned premiers Canberra for a place in the Westfield W-League Grand Final, while Perth Glory and Sydney FC will do battle in the other Semi-Final, to be played at nib Stadium.

Both matches will be Westfield W-League and Hyundai A-League double headers, with Sunday’s Semi-Final in Canberra to be played at 2pm, prior to the Round 18 A-League clash between Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United.

The two Semi-Final winners will meet in the Westfield W-League 2017 Grand Final on the following weekend to determine this season’s champions.
